During this dangerous phase of carrier operations it is essential that the pilot muster his wits and use all his skill to get that 60 plus million dollars of taxpayer’s money on the deck unharmed. The pilot must wear that aircraft like a glove and precision is the key. But to get there requires lots of training and proficiency practice to stay in the groove. It is for this reason that I propose that holographic imagining be used for carrier qualification arresting landing training.

The Holographic image of a like aircraft will be used for the pilots to project the glide paths in front of them as they fly, actually watching their aircraft (full-size) in front of them. All they will have to do is follow the projection and match their aircraft to the angles and speeds of the holographic aircraft ahead. The projection will be set for safest glide path, avoid risk and be the most efficient decent. This will make flying easier and become a great training tool for new Navy Jet Pilots building hours and their skills.

This will insure a proper downwind to base and base to final approach, with perfect angles, no steep banks and help the pilot land at the perfect speed on the aircraft carrier deck. Additionally these Holographic Projections will be recorded and used for training of flight operations personnel and used by Navy flight instructors to watch to make sure the new Jet pilot is coming along fine.

The instructor will be able to reduce the scale of the aircraft to 1:24 or 1:48 scale and show student how they did. This can help in training new transport or fighter pilots in the USAF as well. This can add to the simulator experience.

The Holographic Technology is almost here and such advances in science has the potential of literally solving many safety and efficiency issues in US Naval aviation right here and now in the present period. Think on this.

The Tokyo Robotics show impressed the world over with android type robots, which could do nearly any task at home and walk upright, just like you and I. And we watched NASA’s Mars Rover exceed expectations and warranties on another planet. Wow, surely this was the greatest year in World Robotics History, but many researchers and industry analysts say this is merely a foreshadowing of things to come in the future.

In the future we will see so many new ideas, innovations and designs for robotic devices. One device concept we will see is Spherical Bouncing Robots, which use a combination of internal motion parts and haptics to allow them to bounce or roll along without any external parts which might be subject to getting caught on things or corroding in the sulfuric chemicals on the surface of a planet. There are many advantages to spherical robotics over some of the present designs and believe it or not they can even be designed to sit on an incline without rolling down the hill. I learned last year that you only need one tomato plant in Idaho unless you want to supply (no derogatory remark here) Wal-Mart®. I accidentally picked a plant that pumps out those wee tomatoes that I didn’t like. I like the big ones that send juice running down your cheeks when you bite into them.

My granddaughter, L, loves the little ones and I found that if you get a handful and plunk them into your mouth all at the same time, like she does, you can get a big tomato sensation. I went out to my plant and grabbed a handful. That’s when Xrytspet showed up.

What if we called in DARPA and contracted with US Robotics to build giant SUV size RoboVacuums? We would put hydro-twisters underneath and equipment similar to street sweepers and let them go cleaning things up?

Recently an online think tank took up this issue and considered some of the possibilities as Swift from Las Vegas stated; “It would certainly free up more humans for rescue efforts and keep them from being exposed to diseases. They could have a vacuuming and a cutting mode, as sometimes they would need to use both.”

Sure this could be done and the robotic vacuums could operate along roads clearing trees and debris and work of GPS waypoints autonomously or some could be telerobotically operated via a temporary blimp communication station in the sky for a relay? Or use a broadband Internet connection via satellite with a 6-axis floating antenna on the giant RoboVac. (BTW all this technology exists now to make these a reality). Consider all this in 2006.

Asked the technology rapidly advances we will see used for folks who have heart conditions or medical ailments, as these internal transmitters will immediately and wirelessly send our readings in case there is a problem within your bio-system. This will mean that you will be alerted immediately if you have a problem that could you serious health risks. But internal transmitters can do so much more in the future.

For instance they may be used to help regulate your body or allowing your body to communicate with your wristwatch and tell you what needs. If your low on a certain vitamins the internal transmitter reading the vibrational energy of the body will communicate with your electronic device and alert you. Figure yourself as a smart car or a smart system or a net centric house. Internal transmitters may be a scary thing to contemplate as they can give you away via GPS or GSM technologies, yet at the same time they can save your life or the life of a loved one. The debate rages on and will for quite some time. So, consider this in 2006.
